Northwestern Theological Seminary Electronic Transcript Information
Northwestern does not offer unofficial transcripts. All transcripts orders are non-refundable.
Official transcripts are provided in electronic PDF format.
Transcript Fee: $15.00 USD (per transcript and degree program)
TRANSCRIPT POLICY
An official transcript is a copy of a student's permanent academic record and is issued only
at the authorization or written request of the student. A transcript is a complete copy of a student's academic record at
the time that it is issued. It contains all course work, including undergraduate, graduate and/or non-degree, taken while
enrolled at Northwestern. Northwestern will NOT issue a partial transcript. Official transcripts are available from the
Office of the Registrar. A transcript request must be written, by use of a Transcript Request
Form, and the fee must be paid in advance.
Because a transcript contains confidential information, it cannot be released to anyone without
a written request from the student. Any individual acting on behalf of the student with regard to requesting a transcript must
have written authorization from the student.
STUDENT STATUS REQUIREMENT
Students who have a financial obligation to Northwestern may be blocked from receiving a transcript.
Transcripts are not issued for those who are indebted to Northwestern until such indebtedness is paid or satisfactorily adjusted.
A Transcript Request Form will not be processed for students who have financial defaults or other
obligations to the school. The obligation may be due to a returned check, non-payment of financial agreement, or failure to comply
with admissions requirements. Students must be in good standing with Northwestern in order to have a transcript released.
PDF TRANSCRIPTS
PDF Transcript Delivery is an electronically delivered official Northwestern transcript sent over a secure network to the email address of the recipient you designate. PDF transcripts issued by Northwestern are considered official documents and are certified by a digital signature and special security characteristics. In addition, each page of the transcript contains the signature of the Registrar and the seminary seal.
THE PROCESS
- Students will provide the recipient's name and email address. Recipient mailing address is also required for verification purposes.
- Student notifies the recipient that the transcript will be delivered electronically and that the recipient will receive an email with the transcript attached.
- The email will always come from Registrar@Northwestern-Email.com
- The Seminary cannot control if a student or recipient's email system marks the transcript emails as spam. If you believe you should have received an email but did not, please contact Registrar@Northwestern-Email.com once you have checked your spam folder and find the email is not there.
ADVANTAGES OF THE ELECTRONIC TRANSCRIPT
- Receiving the transcript directly from the Office of the Registrar ensures recipients they are receiving accurate, official transcripts from Northwestern Theological Seminary.
- Recipients will be able to view the transcript in less than two (2) business days versus waiting for a paper version to arrive by U.S. Mail.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You will need to submit a form for each recipient and degree program.
